Hi there!

Welcome to my blog – a place where I publish university assignments, blog posts, and basically just jot down all my thoughts and opinions. I try to put my own spin on the topics I write about which, (I hope), you will find insightful and entertaining.

For those of you who don’t know me and are new to my blog, my name is Ella Russell. A little bit about me: I love any kind or style of writing, the beach, drawing, travelling, making videos, meeting new people, my cat, morning swims, and my family.

I am currently studying at UOW, completing a bachelor of media and communications – majoring in global screen media.

I chose this degree because it incorporates such a wide range of topics, from marketing to television, from social media to media inequity. I love learning about what is going on in the world right now and how media and communications is used as a vehicle to advertise world news and current affairs – and SO much more. One major thing I have learned, is that media is an extremely powerful tool. I want to dissect this idea, and discover how and why we use media and research just how powerful it can be.

I have not yet found the exact career path I want to take – but I think I’m lucky to feel this way. Instead of focusing on one sole career, I now have the flexibility to experience an abundance of wonderful things until I find the one that I fall completely in love with. For me, I want a career that gives me a purpose, and enables me to expand my mind every day.
